NOODLE - spokes pet for PALS

Noodle "What?" Helms Sicay-Perrow

Noodle was born, on August 30, 2011, in a shelter in South Georgia. We were informed that he is half Aussie Kelpie and half Basset Hound. Soon, he was transferred, with his brother (that we know of) to the Atlanta Humane Society. There, they were called River and Stream (insert joke here).

We had been looking online for several weeks for a pet. We went to the Humane Society on November 27, as a treat for my recently passed birthday, to see if there was someone that we liked. At
that particular time, there was not a lot of dogs available.

We went back on Saturday, December 4 to look at a Dachshund that we saw online, called "Shorty." While we were waiting for them to let us see him, we were actively looking at the other dogs also. While trying to get to know "Shorty," he would have nothing to do with us as we were trying to get to know him outside. When "Shorty" saw a nice blond woman who passed by us, he got so excited to see her, and totally ignored us.

We also learned that the steps at our building would not be good for him. We went back inside to look at some of the other dogs, that we also noticed.

We noticed another man holding Noodle in a chair and he was being all nice and loving to the man. David asked if he could hold him for a moment, and Noodle took to David instantly. The man came back to his chair and told David that was his dog. I came by to also see who David was playing with, and fell in love with Noodle also.

After I came back from getting more information from the volunteer, David stated that we should call him "Noodle" from the way he wiggles in your arms.

We went and put a deposit down, went to Pet Smart to get supplies, and picked him up the very next day. What was added as his middle name, because in 90% of all of his pictures, his ears are up, as though he is inquiring about "what?" is going on. Noodle completed Beginner Training at PetSmart in February 2011. He went through a spell of chewing, but quickly got out of that habit.

Noodle loves playing, walking, being patted on his chest and back at the same time, and going to Piedmont Bark.

CONGRATULATIONS NOODLE!
