Sybil is a Hero!
(an email to Kevin from one of Sybil's owners - Robert)

Hey Kevin,

I thought you'd want to know that Sybil is not only your spokesdog, but also a hero. Last tuesday, I was in staying in Atlanta for work. Mike came home and let Sybil out to potty.

He went out into the yard and fell down and was unable to get up. (He has been weak because he had surgery late last year and has not fully recovered.) He was out in the sub freezing cold for at least
9 hours until a contractor who is working on the house found him
the next morning.

Sybil was lying against him and may have kept him warm enough that he didn't freeze to death. He was rushed to the hospital with severe hypothermia and was in intensive care for 3 days. He is now home recovering and doesn't remember what happened but I feel confident that Sybil is responsible for him making it through the
night.

About Sybil

Sybil was born into the poverty of an Alabama puppy mill approximately 6 years ago. Her early life was sadly a tale of abuse and neglect.

When the mill was raided and shut down, the young harlequin Dane found her way to LaGrange where she was taken in by a private rescue. She won the heart of the owner who made Sybil her
personal pet. Two years ago, when the rescue owner moved across the country forcing her to give her pets up for adoption, Sybil came
to live with her current owners, Mike Patterson and Robert Standard.

Sybil was at first a timid and skittish dog but with the love of her two dads and a lot of socialization with both people and other dogs, she has blossomed into a friendly and curious lady who is excited to be the 2009 PALS spokesdog. She is looking forward to representing the organization and wants to thank everyone who supported her K9 cotillion bid.
